Rome City Schools Spelling Bee 2012

Rome City Schools is pleased to congratulate the local school winners who participated in this year's system competition, especially to John Knauss, system champion, and Tyra Thompson, system runner-up.

Participating in this year's competition were the following local school winners and their alternates:
East Central - Matt Megginson and Avery Wright
Elm Street - Cortaney Jones and Najwa Plummer
Main Elementary - Jiniya Trammell and Jerica Milner
North Heights Elementary - Summer Hyde and Shanda Morgan
Rome Middle School - Nancy Lopez and Miguel Delgado
Southeast Elementary - Tyra Thompson and Leah Reyes
West Central Elementary - Alexandra Gonzalea and Edith Fortanel
West End Elementary - John Knauss and Lily Chesnut

The system champion and runner-up will be recognized at the March 13th Rome City Schools Board meeting where National Copier Exchange will present the champion with a prize.
